DB Schenker customers can book a carbon-zero LCL, FCL as well as reefer Containersoption with immediate effect and receive a certificate of the emissionreduction for their climate balance sheet. This is made possible bycooperations with the shipping companies CMA CMG and MSC. The product sets outthe use of certified sustainable, second-generation biofuels - derived fromused cooking oil - instead of conventional fossil-based marine fuel. The biofuelcomponent will be blended between 20 and 30% and thus enables the use withouttechnical adaptation. DB Schenker offers its customers an off-the-shelf productthat enables net-zero ocean transport.
